Am Freitagabend war Tabellenf\u00fchrer Shamrock Rovers zu Gast. Die Rovers mussten einige Ausf\u00e4lle verkraften, so waren neben den beiden nach den Platzverweisen vom Dienstag gesperrten Spielern auch einige verletzungsbedingt nicht verf\u00fcgbar. Das hatte unter Anderem zur Folge, dass Rovers einen 16-j\u00e4hrigen Spieler in der Abwehr stehen hatten, der damit zu seinem ersten Ligaspiel kam und wenig \u00fcberraschend in einigen Situationen &#8222;Lehrgeld zahlen musste&#8220;. Die Defensive der Rovers war also nicht so stabil wie sonst, und Dundalk konnte das zweimal erfolgreich ausnutzen und gewann 2:1. Bohemians kamen zu Hause nicht \u00fcber ein 0:0 gegen Waterford hinaus, was bedeutet, dass Dundalk nun aufgrund der besseren Tordifferenz an den Bohemians vorbei auf Platz 2 vorr\u00fcckt.<br>Auf Platz 4 steht weiterhin Derry City, das Cork City mit 2:0 schlug.
