Aber in Anbetracht des am Donnerstag anstehenden Playoff-Spiels in der Europa League-Qualifikation schonte Dundalk einen gro\u00dfen Teil der Stammspieler. Die &#8222;B-Elf&#8220;, die Dundalk aufbot, konnte aber nur in den ersten ca. 20 Minuten mit dem Tabellenf\u00fchrer mithalten, dann legten die Rovers etwas zu und dominierten ab da das Spiel. Wie schon letzte Woche gegen Waterford erzielten die Rovers in relativ kurzer Folge drei Tore vor der Halbzeitpause, was im Grunde die Vorentscheidung war. Ein viertes Tor in der Schlussphase der zweiten Halbzeit besiegelte dann den 4:0-Sieg. Zwei der vier Tore erzielte Jack Byrne, der damit an der Spitze der Torj\u00e4gerliste mit Dundalks Patrick Hoban gleichzog. Beide haben 7 Treffer auf dem Konto.<br>Am Tabellenende trennten sich Finn Harps und Cork City 1:1, ein Unentschieden, das keinem der beiden wirklich weiterhilft. Der Vorsprung betr\u00e4gt aber lediglich einen Punkt, so dass das letzte Wort um den direkten Aufstieg wohl noch nicht gesprochen ist. Das \u00fcberraschendste Ergebnis des Spieltags ist aber wohl die deutliche Heimniederlage von Cabinteely gegen Wexford.
