Der amtierende Meister ist also mit zwei Unentschieden aus den ersten beiden Spielen suboptimal gestartet, und am kommenden Wochenende fehlen in der Partie gegen Derry City gleich drei Verteidiger gesperrt, die eigentlich zum Stammpersonal geh\u00f6ren. Keine idealen Voraussetzungen, um in der dritten Partie den ersten Dreier einzufahren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A propos Derry: Mit einem weitgehend ungef\u00e4hrdeten 2:0 \u00fcber Cork City nimmt Derry nach dem aktuellen Spieltag den zweiten Tabellenplatz ein. Cork City bleibt damit punktlos am Tabellenende. Tabellenf\u00fchrer sind die Bohemians durch einen Sieg \u00fcber Dundalk. Bei der Partie wurde eine neue G\u00e4stetrib\u00fcne im Dalymount Park eingeweiht. Nach dem Ausw\u00e4rtssieg in Longford am vorigen Spieltag folgte nun ein Heimsieg mit 3:1 gegen den Absteiger Finn Harps und damit die Tabellenf\u00fchrung. Athlone hatte eigentlich vor der Saison niemand auf dem Zettel.
