Dabei sah es zur Halbzeitpause noch nicht danach aus: Cork City war durch Alex Nolan fr\u00fch in F\u00fchrung gegangen und h\u00e4tte eigentlich noch h\u00f6her f\u00fchren k\u00f6nnen, h\u00e4tte Nolan seine Chance zum 2:0 genutzt. Doch nach der Pause kippte das Spiel. Ob es an der Kabinenansprache in der Waterford-Kabine lag oder an der wohl verletzungsbedingten Auswechslung von Greg Bolger in der Halbzeitpause, jedenfalls \u00fcbernahm Waterford in der zweiten H\u00e4lfte das Spiel und glich quasi mit dem ersten ernstzunehmenden Angriff nach der Pause aus. Mitte der zweiten H\u00e4lfte gab es dann noch eine gelb-rote Karte auf Seiten von Cork City, und Waterford erzielte in der Schlussphase den letztlich verdienten Siegtreffer. Da Shelbourne in Galway nicht \u00fcber ein Unentschieden hinaus kam, ist Waterford damit Tabellenf\u00fchrer.
