St. Patrick&#8217;s Athletic hatte daher die Chance, sich zwischen die spielfreien Mannschaften von Shamrock Rovers und Bohemians zu setzen. Doch daf\u00fcr musste ein Sieg in Waterford her, und den schafften sie nicht. Es reichte nur zu einem Punkt, und auch das war knapp: Waterford war in der ersten Halbzeit in F\u00fchrung gegangen, und erst in der Nachspielzeit fiel der Ausgleich per Elfmeter. St. Patrick&#8217;s Athletic verk\u00fcrzt daher den Abstand auf die Top 2 nur um einen Punkt, statt sich dazwischen zu setzen. Viele Tore gab es auch zwischen Bray Wanderers und UCD, aber deutlich einseitiger: Bray schlug UCD mit 6:0 und springt damit auf Platz 2 der Tabelle, 17 Punkte hinter Cork City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eine Serie ging auch in Athlone zu Ende: Athlone Town, das 10 Spiele in Folge ohne Sieg war und sich Anfang der Woche <a href=\"https:\/\/athlonetownafc.ie\/club-statement-ian-ryan\/\">von Trainer Ian Ryan getrennt<\/a> hatte, gewann unter Interimstrainer Conor Barry mit 2:0 gegen Cobh Ramblers.
